With over a decade of experience in the forestry sector, Phil Stannard established Greenleaf Forestry to offer a complete management service with sustainability at its heart. Over his career Phil has managed a diverse mix of habitats as both a forester and ecologist, ranging from species rich ancient broadleaved woods to extensive conifer plantations, and from small farm woodlands to whole estates.
Climate change, soil erosion, pests and diseases are all having a huge impact on the UK's woodlands. Continuous cover forestry practices, tree species selection and seed provenance are just some of the tools we use to help make our woodlands more resilient.
With experience of working in a huge range of landscapes, Greenleaf Forestry has the knowledge to implement site specific silvicultural systems, and all whilst advising on available revenue streams to help achieve positive change.
As active members of both the Royal Forestry Society and the Institute of Chartered Foresters, we work tirelessly to keep up to date with the valuable research they, along with the Forestry Commission, provide.
